Sky Village
Sky Villages, an interactive exhibit designed for locations including The Contemporary Arts Center and the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, invites children to explore the future of architecture through play. The exhibit features wall-mounted building blocks that represent airborne habitats, with tessellating forms that interlock to create dynamic structures on the wall. Inspired by the modular prefabricated architecture of the Japanese Metabolism movement and visionary concepts like Buckminster Fuller’s Cloud Nine tensegrity sphere, Sky Villages engages children in reimagining architectural possibilities while teaching three-dimensional geometry in a playful manner.
